About Jeff Griffiths

I was born in 1973 and raised on a dairy farm outside of Wooster, Ohio.  In 1995, I graduated magna cum laude with honors with a bachelor’s degree in forestry from the Ohio State University.  After college, I served in Panama with the United States Peace Corps as an agriculture volunteer.  My greatest achievement was the construction of a potable water system that ended a dysentery epidemic.  Upon my return, my ex-wife Taema and I had Harvey and moved to Bishop, where my second son Owen was born.  Throughout my life I have worked in such varied fields as dairy farming, agricultural labs, tree trimming, forest products planning, Spanish interpreting, non-profit management and more.  I was elected twice to the Bishop City Council and served as Mayor.
